APPLE CUSTARD PIE

Apples

4          Cups Apples pealed & sliced thin

1/2       Cup Sugar

1          Tsp Cinnamon

Custard:

1/2       Cup Brown Sugar

1          Tsp Cinnamon

1/2       Tsp Nutmeg

1/4       Tsp Salt

1          Can Evaporated Milk

3          Eggs

1          Tsp Vanilla

Peal and slice apples, mix sugar and cinnamon

and coat apples by shaking in a sealed plastic

container.  Arrange in 9" pie shell

Combine dry ingredients for custard and mix with whisk.

Add remaining liquids and mix well.   

Pour over coated apples in pie shell.

Bake 15 minutes at 450°

turn down heat to 350° bake 45 minutes. 

Cool on rack.
